
The Willamette Challenge is a 6 mile cloverleafed paddling relay from the banks of the Willamette River to Ross Island. The event benefits Willamette Riverkeeper's efforts to protect and restore the river.
Competitive & family style race, raffle, display booths, activities & park rides.
All are welcome to join us for a great day on and off the water.
The Willamette Challange will consist of a 6 mile clover leaf boating relay with several divison categories. The clover design will have three components that send racers from the Oak Park beach around Hardtack Island, Toe Island, and to the Sellwood Bridge and back. The race starts on the shore at Oaks Park and racers return to the dock after each of the three legs of the race. All divisions will compete along the same course.

$15 Family Fun Entry (must include 1 youth, 15 years old or younger, & includes use of canoe and gear)
$30 Pre-registration (per person by July 6th)
$40 Day of Race
All registration fees include race entry, t-shirt, Oaks Park deluxe ride bracelet, goodie bag, raffle ticket.....
1-person teams with 1 boat

3-person teams with 3 boats

or Co-ed (2 males or 2 females)
Only one or two person boats. Boats must be human powered. No oar locks are allowed. No paddle boats are allowed.
